UNITED NATIONS - HOLY?

The more you read about the UN oil-for-food program scandal the worse it gets. According to the investigation conducted by the US Congress Saddam Hussein managed to make a personal gain of the neat sum of $21.3 billion US. That's an incredible amount of money. And if you look at what the money went to it gets worse; millions of these dollars went to the families of Palestinian suicide mass murderers (their parents were giving $25 000 US each).

Another scandal of course is the treatment this huge scam has gotten in the Swedish mainstream media: complete silence. In a country where the UN is more holy than anything maybe that's not so surpringsing. On the other hand one might see it the other way - in a country where things like this hardly get any attention at all it isn't that surpringsing that the UN is more holy than anything.
